Does anyone have any experience(or knowledge of) with twin Yamaha250 4-strokes on either the Chase273 or Tourn275(I know, same hull)? Are they too heavy regarding the scupper issue or for any other reason? My local dealer has had both of these boats(demos)with this set up for sale for a long, long time and I'm wandering if there are issues...besides price. Thanks!

I do not own either but I did ride in a dealer demo 275 with F250s at a Grady event. I made it a point to look at scuppers and they were not below the water. Didn't get up on plane so I can't say how that weight affects the ride. But the F250 weighs about the same as the F225 so there are many boats out there to learn from.

We have a member in the TGWC with a 275 w/F250s. Scuppers not below the water, and WOT = 54MPH..

Well I do own a 273 with F250's and it sits just fine in the water. Top speed 55mph. It also can plane on one motor with 4 people on board(found out the hard way 30 miles off shore). Best econ is a little over 2 mpg.

I have the same boat with twin 225's ....... no issues, you won't get to use the top end much if your going out of Lewes. Great boat......you will enjoy either choice. I'm strictly fishing and the 273 is the best choice.
