Many folks ask, which style of cover is the best way to protect my boat? Should I use a cover that goes over the T-Top, under the T-Top, or just cover the T-top and console only?

This question can really only be answered by you, but I’m here to give you more information about each style and help you choose what’s best for your needs.

Over:
A boat cover that is made to go up and over the entire T-Top is ideal in situations where you need the most protection and generally stored on a trailer, or lift applications. This type of cover will keep your boat, equipment and even the motor(s) protected. The Carver cover is designed to allow room for a roof-mounted Radar Dome, GPS, and a small navigation light. For your convenience, the cover is made with a vertical zipper installed on both sides of the boat, to allow access to the boat even when covered and antenna(s) will exit through a Velcro slot at the back of the cover. Along with the cover, you will receive a few complimentary accessories which are simply to help keep your cover performing and protecting your boat for years to come.

Under:
Carver also features a few custom applications which allow the T-Top to exit the cover. This cover attaches around the framework for your T-Top with Velcro and closes down each side. The rope sewn into the hem will exit on both sides for you to ratchet down and keep the cover secure. Although we don’t list many of this style of cover, there are a few spread throughout the website. We’ve found this type of cover is most requested when using for trailering purposes.

Just the console:
Don’t want to fool with a whole cover and really only want to protect the T-Top and console area? Completely understandable, and quite common, therefore we offer this type of cover as well. This cover is very easy to install over the T-Top and most popular when mooring the boat. Simply place the support poles in your rod holders, then close the Velcro around your antennas, and roll from back to front. Pull the strap to the back and tighten. This cover also allows entry to the console area when covered.
