Thinking about purchase of 2005 Tournament w/ F115. Is this enough power?

Thanks

I had a 192. Great Boat. I had a 150 and that seemed to be the average power for the boat. It is rated for 200. Puzzled why anyone would put a 115 on it.

However, sea trial it. The boat seats 8 . I would get 5 or 6 of your friends or family on it and sea trial it with a load and that will tell you if 115 is enough.

No. Not enough power. I've had a 200 and a 150 on my 190. A 115 would get it up on plane, but would be slow with 4 people. Sometimes you just want to go fast in a boat and it won't happen with that engine.

I have a 1986 190 Tournament with Yamaha 115 I am looking to upgrade to 150. 115 is ok for me and wife but with 5 6 kids tubing it struggles..It may fit your needs its just the minimum. My boat is used in the Finger Lakes of NY fresh water, I can only imagine it would be tougher getting out in larger waters.

I like the old adage "buy as much motor as you can afford."
But I don't think there's a wrong choice here.
I see it like this:
115=grin
150=smile
200=lol
You rarely hear anyone say "darnit, I got too much motor. "
Have fun shopping.
