Anyone out there that have owned or have a lot of experience with both? Was the ride of the 270 appreciably better than the Voyager?

Thanks

Short of the long, I'm wondering if the ride is any better in the chop. I'm starting to think a cat might be the best option, but none are as functional as the Grady's.
I'm not considering a Tigercat for a few reasons.

Well, I don't think I could ever dress up my 258 to match OCNSLR's 270, so there's that.

Other than the obvious 2'-itis, the 270 gives you stand-up room in the cabin that I don't get.

At least for me, that doesn't come into play until we're overnighting and we have the cushions and mattress in place. Our berths run the length of the cabin (and seem a bit longer than they need to be, really). So the berth cushions go right up to the cabin door.

But even without the berth cushions in place, at 5'8" I can't quite stand up in our cabin. During the long boat trips I do wish we had the stand-up room in the cabin.

Given the long boat trips we do, we added some real boat mattresses:
