So...., there we were first day of in state waters red snapper season, Saturday 23 May, boat loaded with tackle and fisherman, great bait in live well, we headed out the pass and ...........SFH, East winds howling! Seas to 5 feet. Made the day difficult to say the least but we did boat a bunch of fish, sadly only 6 keeper red snapper, and 1 large scamp. We also caught lots of short red snapper, AJ's, and nice triggerfish. Nasty ride in.
Winds have yet to let up......looks like the rest of the week is blown out too. Woe is us!
