Thanks for the suggestions. I was looking at the torque diagram if the e-tec vs yamaha and it is unbelievable. Maybe this boat needs for more torque, so I thought that a e-tec 300hp could fit nicely on the Islander?

Yes, I think we are looking at the same boat. I have some doubts about the engine. I often fish at the canyons far 20 to 40 nms from the coast and more power should be needed.. I have seen the test numbers with a 2stroke 250hp and they look not so bad.. maybe an e-tec 300hp would push the boat...
