That's what I thought. The tech that quoted me the estimate said they could save time by hanging the motor without disconnecting the steering if the cables were long enough.

Thanks, yup looks like a washer and bushing supposed to be there. I didn’t clean it up enough to get a good look. Will likely have to peak at another motor to see how big/visible they are. With the amount of play it seems most likely something was missed during re-install of the motor.
