Limber hole location - 330 express

Spent the morning contorting under the fish box. On the center stringer, there is a limber hole all the way aft. In my case, there was an incredible amount of debris in the bilge, and that clearly impacted the movement of water in bilge. I could not find limber holes for the stringers about...

Kind of a silly question about fenders, and lines… I need some for my new 216 fisherman…what size, how many, what color ?

Are you going to be slipping the boat, or trailering? Reason i ask is that I find it helpful to have different color lines - this makes it easier for crew to get the correct line. When backing into my slip, I need the spring line to the aft cleat secured first. If this line is a different...

New Member - Real World MPG 33 Express Questions

Just got back from a canyon run this weekend, here are some real-world numbers. Total trip 288 nautical miles, burned 286 gals. When converting the NM to Miles, I get 331 miles and dividing that by 286 gives me 1.15 miles per gallon. Here is how running broke out. Out - ran at 4500 rpm at...

Limber hole location - 330 express

In process of replacing aft bilge pump on my 2003 330 express, had the generator removed over the winter so access is much better. One thing I'm noticing is that water is building up on the outside of the stringers, and on the starboard side of the keel stringer. I presume there are limber...

Test drove a gulfstream today - carumba

I think your expectations are unrealistic. If you were in true 3-4' close spaced waves at 20+ knots, it is gonna be sloppy, that would be a tough slog in my 330 - from a comfort perspective anyway.

2004 330 Express rear facing seat foot rests

Yes - and now I have looked again, and found something that might work, but I think the two stock sizes are either too small or too wide. Footrest I'll have to check the door openings next time I'm on the boat and thinking about it.

2004 330 Express rear facing seat foot rests

I recall looking into the fold up solution on the newer version and have not yet recovered from the sticker shock. In meantime, I place a rotomolded cooler with rubber feet at the port one, and it makes for a great footrest while watching the spread. Curious to what you find.

    2004 330 Express Cup Holders

Weird, my 2003 has holders on both sides, albeit more in the middle of those hatches. Always thought they were stock, but perhaps I'm wrong. Anyway, nice job, I have the same issue with those cushions and spots, and use the drink holders a lot.

    Mechanical vs. DEC Outboard Motors

My boat had mechanical controls when I purchased it, and now after a repower, has DEC. I'm not a fan of saying never, but going back to mechanical is a non starter for me. Totally a different game with the DEC. I opted for just the controls, not the steering, and can say that it was 100%...

2003 330x with twin 300 yamaha. 1.1 - 1.2 is where I'm at. Nice cruise at 42-4400 right around 30 mph. For clarity and transparency, that is 26 or so knots. My MFD number is in knots, the yamaha number is statute miles. In addition to swapping to 300's from 225's I also changed props to 15...

2002 330 Express Aft Cabin Portlight

Are you referring to the reading light on the aft port side, or the overhead light? Folks have replace the reading lights with LED versions, I've replaced the overhead bulb with an LED. Not sure about replacing the entire overhead light, nor who made it, on the off chance one can find a part...

    Talk me into it..

Moved up from a 23 Mako to a 33 Express. No regrets. Back story is that I took my wife on a day trip to Martha's Vineyard. We were looking at the boats in the harbor, and she asked if all the moorings were transient. I replied no, those other ones are for overnights. "Why don't we do...

    Triple Rod Holders??

I've thought about it, and nearly purchased some from a welder at the fishing show this winter. I elected to stick with the extra clamp on Taco rod holders on my tower legs. The welder had a great design with 3 slots in a 90* angle set up, which would work great. Same use case on my 330 as...

Water dripping in at planing speed

@baytripper89 - can you post a picture of the impacted area? Many of us have different models, and are not familiar with the specific layout of your boat. It may allow others to chime in with reasonable suggestions for you.

New Canvas - what to do

Got the new enclosure installed Friday. Overall, quite happy with it. Some thoughts after doing it. The approach I asked about above is how I went - started with front center, and worked around both sides from there, alternating so both sides were progressing similarly. Snap tools. I had...
