Based on your last post..... If you haven't already done it, it's time to pull the bracket pie-plate to see if your bracket has water in it. The Grady brackets are not solid at the transom and cracked 5200 will lead to water in the bracket which will cause the boat to sit very low in the stern...

That is correct. The Max HP change was due to the development of the lighter 300. The main constraint for max HP of 250 was weight not power. When/if I repower my 2006 228 F250, I will definitely put the 300 on it. I think the hull is better suited for the 50 extra HP and 30 less pounds back...
