    Experience with Express 330

Forgot to mention I also have a bowthruster on my 330. I had Florida Bow Thrusters install it soon after I purchased the boat. It only took me a few times trying to dock in a stiff breeze or current to realize the 330 did not handle like the only other twin engine boats I had maneuvered...

    Experience with Express 330

I have owned my 330 for 8 months, moved up from a 21' center console. My wife and I generally fish it just the two of us. I rate it as a "great" boat for a couple. If there were more people trying to move around that helm area, it would get real tight. But, for us, I love the center helm --...

My bow pulpit chewed through my rode

Hawespipe. Learned a new boating term, thank you Ron. My boat does not presently have chocks in the forward bow/anchor area. After doing some "image" research, I see many other Grady 330s have these chocks. Very frustrating to try and guess why my boat would be without something so basic to...

My bow pulpit chewed through my rode

Inexperienced boater and brand new Grady 330 owner here. Learning loads of valuable lessons through the school of hard knocks... EXPENSIVE hard knocks! My latest round involved a brand new anchor and rode. All along, I had a lot of questions about the mechanics of cleating off the anchor...

    Fuse panel location on 330?

Thank you for the reply. Knowing if there is a fuse in that panel for the live well would be very useful - if you have the chance to chec k that would be great.

    Fuse panel location on 330?

Maddening. The manual says fuses are accessed through a 4 " plate in the head. I cannot find this panel... which makes me feel like an idiot since the head is not exactly a palace. Any suggestions as to alternate locations for the fuse panel? Trying to test live well fuse. Thanks folks.

    330 Express opinions

I just got into a 2004 330 with 250s. Moved up from a 21' Carolina Skiff with a single 140. To say fuel consumption is different would be a tad of an understatement... ;) Of course, literally everything else is different too. Wife and I spent our first weekend sleeping aboard the 330...

Replacing livewell pump on 330? (Difficulty)

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I certainly need to check to see if it is getting power -- hopefully it's just a fuse needing replacing. This is my first "big" boat -- learning a lot.

Replacing livewell pump on 330? (Difficulty)

Took my "new-to-me" 330 out to fish this weekend for the first time. Learned quickly the livewell was not working. Seacock open, switch flipped at the helm, yet no action from the pump. I assume it needs to be replaced. Is that something I can do myself? Does the boat need to be hauled out...

How much rode in your 330?

Coconut, you have 700 ft of rope and 50 ft of chain in your 330? I am surprised the locker will hold that much! What type of rope are you using? 3 strand or 8 plait? What diameter? What type of windlass are you using? Any trouble with snags and such? Do you have to go down to the locker...

How much rode in your 330?

Hi folks. I am currently replacing my windlass and rode. Wondering what the proper amount of rode is? I bottom fish and need to have the maximum rode. Grady White says 300 feet. What about rope vs. chain? What do you guys have in your 330s?

    Maxwell windlasses?

So I am pretty much convinced my Grady 330 needs a horizontal windlass to minimize jamming problems in the rode locker. Anyone have experience with Maxwell? They have some nice looking horizontal units, the HRC series, with free fall capability and above average power ratings. Regrettably...

Quality replacement windlass options for 2004 Grady 330?

Thanks Stonewall, regrettably that jives with what I have been thinking. What horizontal model did you go with (and are you pleased with it's overall performance), to replace the factory's vertical windlass? (also, how long has it been in service?)

Transducer placement on your Grady 330?

Currently my boat has a transom mount transducer -- but I am planning to upgrade anyways. Grady recommended a shoot-through transducer first, and a transom mount second. Can anyone provide practical examples of your transducer experience on the 330? Thanks!

Quality replacement windlass options for 2004 Grady 330?

Frustratingly enough, Grady White customer service cannot provide an exact measure of the rode locker. (well, not without consulting with the engineers) My boat is out of the water getting the bottom painted -- hopefully I can get in there for some measuring soon.

Quality replacement windlass options for 2004 Grady 330?

Very much appreciate the responses. Interesting to hear about the positive experience with the Lewmar Profish 1000. That thing just gets beaten up like a rented mule on the West Marine reviews and on Hull Truth. Certainly it makes sense that people are more likely to write a negative review...

Quality replacement windlass options for 2004 Grady 330?

Hello to all. New Grady owner here; new to the forum. Wondering if anyone can share experiences about replacing the windlass on a mid 2000s 330 Express. It previously had a Lewmar 700 Horizontal windlass. It needs replacing. In my research, no one seems to like the Lewmars. Reviews are...
