Where are the washdown and livewell pumps mounted on the 268 1999 vintage?

It appears my new to me boat was never ordered with these options.

Pictures would be great, I have the wiring diagram in the owners manual, hopefully the wires are there in the harness.

Also, where is the through hull typically?

My 1999 268 doesn't have any pumps either. I'd love to know if you ever found the answer to this...

In the 2002, 270, those pumps are located in the bilge in the area under the batteries.

Exactly. And I don't think you could install there without major obstacle removal AND a very skillful eight year old who can fit down there.

Keep it simple. Install it where it makes the most sense for you and forget about where Mother Grady would have put it. Same for the thru-hull/seacock - put it where you can install it and easily access it, yet keeping it out of the way for access to other things. Generally, keep the thru-hull(s) within a foot or two of the keel and in the back third of the boat and you'll be fine. Just make sure you're not compromising a transducer's water flow. Wiring for something like this is as about dirt simple as wiring can get, as well.

I am a new owner of a used 98 islander 268 with twin evinrude 150s. My pumps are located in the rear bilge area, forward of the batteries and closest to the port side.

That battery hatch access definitely makes certain thing difficult to reach. I am going to convert the hydraulic Bennett trim tabs to the electric bolt. No way I can reach the starboard side brass tubing on the tab to loosen the nut. I think I'm going to have to remove the actuator and cut the brass tubing.

Any of y'all ever replaced the hydraulic actuators yet?

While any mechanical thing can have a failure, the Bennett hydraulic system is one of the most bullet proof and longest lasting systems on a boat. I absolutely wouldn't recommend changing over to electric. They do not have the longevity of the hydraulic systems.
