Anyone have an idea of how much 1/2 in anchor line will fit in a 1990 Overnighter anchor locker?

Offhand, no. But you can fit some more by using 3/8" line. 3/8" is plenty for a small boat. Unless you want the 1/2" because it's easier to handle?

Yes, that's the reason ,3/8 line is tough on the hands.

I'd ask GW via their customer service web link. My guess would be 300'.

Do you have a windlass?? If not, this could work for you.

I took this off my 228 so I could go 1/2" 8 plait and chain for my new windlass. I think it's 5/8" and 15-20' of chain. If you can use it, let's make a deal. I'll have to measure the length when I get home if you're interested.

I have 1/2 anchor line and have to be careful how I feed it back into the box because there’s so much in there if I don’t feed it in off to the sides I can’t get the anchor shaft in. I think I only have used half of what line is in there at most but I’d guess it’d be better than 200’.
I should probably drag it out to at least check its condition. Maybe this weekend I’ll see what it’s true length is. I don’t think I could fit more than I have in there.

That looks pretty nice and with that length of chain it has the holding power of twice a given length of line with only a five foot chain.

How long did it take the dog to lay out that line like that?

You can get more 8 plait than 3 ply as it will lay down more.
