    Battery switch issue

No, there are only 2 switches (one for each bank of two starting batteries). yes, i know that there should be a deep cycle but this is how i bought the boat. yes, in the past turning just the switches killed all power when in the off position. I can not confirm with any certainty that on 1 or...

    Battery switch issue

I don't know when they blew. I just bought the boat. I replaced all of the scupper hoses and sanitation hoses along with an external macerator pump like suggested on this site. I am just getting around to starting electric/electronics. yes, the switches have worked before including after i...

    Battery switch issue

This is a 2003 265 Express. I have not found another battery elsewhere other than where they are supposed to be. There are 4 starting batteries. Two connected to each battery switch.

    Battery switch issue

It's not just lights getting power. It's everything. I agree it should only being the bilge pump getting power if the float switch rises. I believe that is wired correctly

    Battery switch issue

No. Everything still works with the batteries switched to off, or 1, or 2, or both. The wiper motor, mascerator, fresh water pumps. Everything. Something is up with the switches. I just need to find time to get there to investigate. I was thinking that someone may have had a similar issue...

    Battery switch issue

Yeah, I agree that it doesn't make sense. The batteries would not turn off. I left the lights on and noticed when I got in my truck. I got back in the boat and turned the battery switches in every direction (1,2,both,off) but the lights would not go off. I turned them off at the switch. I...

    Battery switch issue

So today as I was leaving the boat I noticed that neither of my two battery switches would turn off. I know That they have worked in the past. The only difference today was that I replaced 5 blown fuses. I didn’t have time to remove the batteries to get to the switches so I’ll go back later...

Groco pump -simple macerator retrofit- 265 Express

Well I finally finished this project. I did exactly as max366 did. The Groco switch still works so I used it. Not sure on the monitor Portion because there’s nothing in it. Also, I assume that it works because, again, there’s nothing in the tank. this project definitely had some challenges...

Groco pump -simple macerator retrofit- 265 Express

I hope to never use the head. I suppose in an emergency I would. It’s more for my wife and daughter. This was the main ask in their contribution to the boat choice. I HAVE to make it work

Groco pump -simple macerator retrofit- 265 Express

I was able to replace all of the hoses at the vent loops by cutting the access panel under the starboard storage area larger towards the hull sides. It was not easy but it can be done. I am pretty bruised up. Now, if the vent loops are defective I have no idea because they have several screws...

Groco pump -simple macerator retrofit- 265 Express

Another thought is, does the Y need to be screwed down? Can it just float between the three super sturdy hoses? OR would this put stress on the plastic fittings?

Groco pump -simple macerator retrofit- 265 Express

Max or anyone who might have ideas, In the diagram that Max posted, how do you get the 1.5” hose from the existing pump out 90 onto the Y valve? In the picture it is the perfect spot to put the Y however bending the hose for that angle in such a short piece is impossible. It’s probably a 3”...

    265 battery shelf

I replaced like for like. It has the wire in it so I guess the same problem will happen again in 20 years. I got it off of Amazon. Its the same hose that I replaced all of the sanitary lines with. 1.5" ID

    Sealing Deck Hatches

My head is sitting in my garage right now! The new pump handle assembly will be here Thursday. I think it was $108 on Amazon. I am in the process of doing what Max did here. https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/groco-pump-simple-macerator-retrofit-265-express.19049/ The hoses were all pretty...

    265 battery shelf

No, cutting in the shelf only gave access to scupper side. You still need to remove the hatch so that you can get to the deck drain side. For me the starboard side was harder and took 4 hours. The port side I got done in only 3 hours. I have no interest in doing this again to get to 2 hours...
