    Grady 275 Freedom rolling issue

That hull is known for rolling. You can make some adjustments with the motor trim. Play with that with no tabs. Keep an eye on the bow. Too far down and you will plow the waves. Too far up and you may cause the bow to swing dramatically. Then experiment with the tabs. If you are pressing the tab...

    Electric Steering Upgrade and Autopilot

Your motor has digital throttle and shift but probably not electric steering. You would need to totally remove the existing steering system including the helm and replace with a digital electric helm and either hydraulic or electric steering ram. That just the mechanical part of the job. Your...

I like those rigging tube photos. I wish we had access to more of them

    Freshwater system issue

The pump can cycle excessively both when there is a leak or when there is a partial blockage. That should only occur when using a fixture (some water flowing) Fix the leak first and then work on the non operative fixtures.

    Adventure 208 (1999)

Pretty difficult to find although I think someone on this forum made a mold. I can't remember what hull it was for though. In your case, molds and new lids could be made but will be costly. The mold making is the hardest part of the job. Having the original lids in some sort of decent shape (...

    3 way fuel selector-Moeller 033302-10

On many hulls, the aux tank is forward. There is no absolute rule. There can be an advantage to having the aux tank forward and that is as fuel is used off of the main, the center of flotation of the boat shifts forward which can be preferable to shifting aft as would be the case in a aft...

Delamination port side - down to bottom paint

If in step 5 you mean that the original cut out is reused, that doesn't work. It is difficult to get the outer skin fully adhered to the new coring and flat as well without voids. The outer layer should be remade with laid up fiberglass. sanded, faired, and gel coated. In addition, the seam...

Delamination port side - down to bottom paint

To clear up a possible point of confusion. The gel coat did not delaminate. The outer fiberglass layer (that happens to be gel coated after layup) is no longer adhered to the coring. Actually, there may not be coring left other than mush. The coring has to be removed to do a proper repair...

    Flag In Bow?

According to flag etiquette for yacht clubs, the flag should be flown forward, not aft. I don't know if that is contrary to what we would expect but the article made a reference to the fact that the flag is always flown forward on the presidential motorcade. To confuse things even more, the...

Low oil pressure blinking on gauge after change.

And you got the low oil pres alarm on both motors at the same time? What did the dip stich show?

Grady 360 Express Sharrow props anyone tried/happy?

I think the design is better suited for low speed heavier load hulls, like diesel commercial boats. In the case of the OPs boat, proper trimming and a clean hull would probably have a similar impact on fuel burn. The math is simple, the rate of return on your investment would be quite small and...

Low oil pressure blinking on gauge after change.

If the instrumentation is Command Link round gauges, I don't think there is a reminder feature. To have both displays show the same alarm at the same time is very odd. I did find the following and the last statement is new to me. The oil pressure display shows “L” for low and “H” for high.• The...

Low oil pressure blinking on gauge after change.

There is no oil pressure sensor on a 2s 150.

Low oil pressure blinking on gauge after change.

Don't run the motors until you find out what the issue is. This happened on twin motors? Did you replace filters? That would be the second thing to check after checking the dip stic level.

I don't use Teflon tape on gasoline fittings. I use a gasoline approved paste. It's not that the tape gets dissolved as best I know but rather that the fittings can loosen up due to vibration.

Looks similar to a flats type boat seat Look at this link for ideas and info and make note that there is a swivel mount with quick release. I don't know if it will fit your locker lids...

    Wide beam hull delamination

It is hard to tell how far the delamination has spread on the hull sides. The earlier hulls are cored with end grain balsa blocks from a few inches above the water line up to the deck cap. That connection point is where is where water may be seeping into the coring In addition, If there is...

    205 Tournament

I prefer the Dometic Seastar Extreme product. As to length, I don't know. Some might suggest calling Grady but I have been told the wrong lengths by them. I can't say they were exactly wrong but it turns out that my model year hull had a change made mid production that rerouted the control...

Changed rides but want to stay.

Trapper, I am in a similar position, sold the 208 and moved on to another brand. The folks on this board were very kind and welcomed me to stay which I have done. Let me tell you, I have not found a better group, better informed, or as sensible as the Great Grady crew. P.S. I too am up there in...
