Listen to Harrysea and athomp228, they actually know what they're talking about. Even if you dropped the screens down as far as you could, you won't have enough room to fit two 16” screens in there.

I'd replace the ones that you currently have with the style that Diad linked. They have the set screw holding the rubber flapper in place and are a bit easier to replace just the flapper as opposed to having to pull the entire thing off just to replace them.
