    Replacing Forward Bilge Pump

I have to replace my forward bilge pump on my 03 Gulfstream. The outlet nipple broke off. The pump is attached to a base that is screwed in place. I can't find a replacement pump with a locking base. It seems they just sit in the bilge or are mounted to a vertical mount which is not practical in...

    Leaking Fuel Fill Hose

I had an unusual problem this past week. After trailering the boat back from vacation, I went to fill it on land before launching. As i started pumping the gas, I noticed fuel running down the back deck floor. I stopped pumping, removed the gas hose and looked down inside the filler pipe. I SAW...

    Fold Down Bunk Capacity

Wondering if anyone has had an issue with the fold down bunk on a Gulfstream supporting an adult (under 200 lbs.). Talked to Grady and they say there SHOULD be no problem, but they do not publish a weight capacity for it. Looking at the screws that secure the straps makes me nervous. No backing...

    Hatch Cover-Brown Spots

I have some cracks in a couple of my hatch covers that have a brown, sticky residue seeping through. I can clean it off but it returns. I applied gel coat repair material over it but it still returned. Any thoughts on what it may be? See attached image.

    Gulstream Fuel Tank Questions

I'm planning on pulling the sending unit off the top of the main tank to check for sediment. It ran out of gas once as I pulled away from the dock. Was not able to restart. It's a 90+ gallon tank but it only took 75 when I filled it. Anything I should look for or be careful with? Thanks.

    Ran Out of Gas

I ran out of gas while idling at the dock. My main tank was very low which I knew. I was on the reserve which showed between 1/2 and 1/4. Tried to restart on either tank with no luck. The reserve would start but die out. Tried to give it gas in neutral, and it bogged down and died like it was...

    sea star fluid leak

I noticed some fluid dripping down from behind the steering wheel. I also thought the pump(?) behind the steering wheel looked wet during Spring clean up. Anyone have any experience or suggestions repairing or replacing this unit? Boat is a 2003 Gulfstream. Thank you.

Advice on fuel tank covers please

Looking for advice on removing the covers on the deck that cover the fuel tanks on my Gulfstream. I seem to remember reading here that Grady recommends doing it every 5-6 years and replacing the seals. I searched but was unable to find any info. Has anyone done it, are the seals still available...

    Shout out to Taylor Marine

Following the suggestions posted here I found new side cabin decals for my Gulfstream on E Bay from Taylor Marine but still needed the oval emblem. Contacted my local dealer and was told they're not available. They only have generic GW logos, not the 232 Gulfstream original I was looking for...

    Season is over

So the boat season is officially over. Picked up the Gulstream after having it winterized and parked it in the back yard. Cleaned out some of the towels, sun screen (8 bottles!), crackers, etc. Getting it shrink wrapped next weekend. Had a great season. Out every weekend fishing (not very...

    Bump stops

Any idea on where I can buy replacement bump stops for the cabin door. They are the small rubber buttons held in place by a single screw. They have worn away and now the cabin door is just hitting the screws. I have a 2003 Gulfstream. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Replacing Live Well Pump

OK Just posing a question after the fact. I just changed the livewell pump on my 2003 Gulfstream. WHAT A PIA! Leaning over the bilge hatch opening, trying to get leverage, finally got it loose with a pipe wrench head upside down so I could get two hands on it. My question is...how do the pros do...

    HELM SEAT ADJUSTMENT

My 2003 Gulfstream's helm seat has a lever that allows the seat to be adjusted forward or rearward. The lever is broken off. Has anyone had any experience replacing just the lever or do I have to buy a new seat? Thank you all for any advice.

    LIVEWELL BAIT PUMP

Looking to replace the original livewell pump on my 2003 Gulfstream. Any suggestions as to model or type (centrifugal, diaphragm). Hoping to mount it in the same position on the transom. From what I've read, a centrifugal pump needs to be mounted below the water line which my current one is not...

    Open Water Running

Still getting used to my 2003 Gulfstream. Had it out on the ocean this weekend in light chop-2'-3' seas. It seems to handle the waves better with the trim pushing the bow down-under 1 on the tilt scale. I notice most other boats running bow high though. Thoughts?? In calm water it does plane off...

    Yamaha 225 oil leak

Took my 2003 Gulfstream out for the first time this season since launching it at the marina a few weeks ago. I had noticed an oil/fuel? slick around my boat. Wasn't sure if it was from my boat or not. After returning from a run out on the ocean, I discovered oil coming out of what looks like a...

    ENGINE FLUSHING

I know Yamaha and the dealer recommends flushing the engine after each use (salt water). I've never seen anyone do it at the marina I'm at. Has anyone had any issues NOT flushing the engine. The Yamaha 225 has a flush port right under the cover, so it's not difficult to do.

    Swim Platform

New owner here. First time posting (that takes care of legal)! My swim platform is "soft" on the port side on my 2003 Gulfstream. Apparently the wood core is soft due to water intrusion. I was told a new platform runs about $600 + install. I was also told you could inject an epoxy to firm it up...
