Sorry for the late report..I went out opening day (Saturday) on my buddy Mikes 31 Rampage in Greenport long Island...There was 3 of us on the boat...We caught 40 fluke with 4 being keepers...I caught a 7.1 lb fluke...Many nice 20 inch fish had to be thrown back. I saw Nothing Else Matters out...

Fished the sore thumb on Monday and had 5 keeper flounder....I went to 2 bait stores that did not have mussels...Seemed that everyone was using mussels except me...Used Clam chum....Stopped to drift for fluke by RM bridge and picked up 13 really short fluke....Great day on the water

A guy weighed in the above fluke at Molnars in Hampton Bays today...I witnessed it....Great fish....His buddy that was fishing with him only had a 9.4 lb fluke...It looked like a guppy next to the 15 pounder....Bite is on in Shinnecock if you get a chance to get out....They are catching in...
