1990 200hp Yamaha

I'm seriously considering a 1990 Seafarer with a 200HP Yamaha. I'm a very hands on guy, rebuilt many smaller fiberglass boats. But, I don't have the most experience with larger outboards (50HP+). The boats motor looks to be in good shape but has 800hrs on it. Is that considered a lot for an outboard?

Not really, it could see over 2000 hours if maintained and not abused. How is the shift rod? If that goes its big time trouble.
