Was going to launch the boat this weekend. Been bit by bad scuppers before but looking at the inboard motor well side they looked fine and didn't think I would have a problem. Still, I decided to pull the white ring and flap off the outboard side. Sure enough the outer flange of the brass tube scupper came off with the flap. So now I'm conviced that these Moeller type field flared scuppers have about 10-year life. When they go bad you have the real possibility of water getting into the transom. Had the same things on my Escape and they went bad the same way. My Tigercat had plastic scuppers and they were fine. Got the tool and new tubes coming this week. Just a heads up guys...
