I have a 1984 Grady White Tournament 223. It has a flush/flat mount compass which looks identical to this:

I want to replace it, not because it doesn't function, but because the glass is getting hazy and it is starting to show its age. The boat is 2hrs from me. Does anyone know if the pictured compass is correct? Or which compass Grady Used on it originally? Any input would be appreciated. I will probably call Grady and ask them on Monday.

Thanks, Tim

Tim:
Ritchie Navigation in Pembroke Mass. does a terrific job on compass rebuilding. The compass is totally reconditioned with new parts including the jewel and bevel if necessary. I chose to send my compass to Ritchie for a rebuild so that I wouldn't have to deal with new a compass that perhaps would require drilling new holes in the console or dealing with different electrical connectors. Give Richie Navigation a call and tell them what you want and I'm sure you will be satisfied. The rebuild price is half the cost of a new compass.
