Had the survey completed and passed with flying colors. Traded up from a 2004 Gulfstream (Great Boat) to a 2004 Sailfish with 144 hours. A week from Friday is the launch date. First time with twin engines, just wish gas was going down.

Congrats on the Sailfish; nice move up. One thing we all agree on is hoping for lower gas prices, unlikely as that is to happen. This will probably be the least expensive boating season that we are likely to see for some time; maybe ever :( , so enjoy your boat as much as you can. I know I will.

Hey good luck with your new boat! ... I also just bought my first Sailfish ..a 92' 252 and I love it! I don't think we're gonna see gas prices coming down anytime soon! Here in So. Jersey it's $3.86 at the dock and we expect it to be closer to $4.10 by 6/1 ......

Heard on the news today of a proposal to drop the federal gas tax for the summer months. 25 cents a gallon could ease the pain slightly.

I have a 232 now...I have never ridden in a Sailfish..As Megabytes says, bigger is always better..Hope you really enjoy it.

Capt. Bill made an interesting statement...
"This may be the least expensive boating season for some time, maybe ever.."
I wonder if we'll say that from now on for each season to come.....

Yea - it is a funny how we have been conditioned. I said to my wife today that I saw gas for only 3.39 at a Hess. Exon profits out this week ...Love when I hear record profits in the billions and they cry because they are only making 8 cents on the dollar.

To the Sailfish new owners, there are two boats that made Grady and transformer the market IMHO, you now own one of them.

A legend, and a legend for the legend.

You can tell we like Gradys at this site!

Congrats on the new twin engine boat. Once you run Twin engines you will never go back to a single engine again no matter how high gas goes. Just to make you feel better, Gas at my Marina is now $5 dollars a Gallon and about to go higher. So run the hell out of your boat now.

Congrats on your new Sailfish!!! Its a great boat as I fish with a friend who has one. We do some serious offshore fishing in the Gulf off of SW Florida. As far as the gas just don't go crazy with the throttles.......and it will as economical or better then other boats in its class.
