I’m looking for a 2005-2014 Freedom 225 or 228 Seafarer. Ideally it would have no bottom paint and a trailer. If no trailer than an option to get one nearby. I’ve been searching all over the U.S and am familiar with everything that’s out there right at this moment on CL, FB, and all the boat trader sites. I hoping a member is thinking of selling theirs and if so email msp381@gmail.com or PM me.
Thanks in advance!

What’s your budget and how far are you willing to travel for a boat?

Mustang,
I’m willing to travel a great distance for a clean one w/o bottom paint and a solid outboard. Yamaha has the dreaded exhaust corrosion issues. Budget is depending on year. I can tell you that based on what years I requested prices go from 30k and up. I saw the 07 228 in. Maryland for 64k and that’s overpriced and more than I’m looking for.

228 Seafarer's can definitely be pretty few and far between depending on the time of year you're looking for one. You mentioned a 225 Tournament or Freedom, did you see this one down in Florida?

What do you use to buff or clean your boats? They all look very well polished?

Thanks! I do use the same process every time but I will say a huge part is finding one that hasn’t been baking in the sun for years. It helps that I’ve only owned freshwater, Great Lakes boats. We don’t have as intense sun here as the southern boats. Depending how much chalking it has I may not need the first step Presta Ultra Cutting Creme, 2nd is Presta Ultra polish, 3rd is Collinite fleetwood 885 wax. I’ve also used collonite 920 wax/cleaner for the second step. I find that when using the 920 it works much better with the 3M polishing pad. The Presta products work great with the yellow wool pads. When your done you should be able to see what time it is if you have a watch on your wrist, and that’s a watch with a second hand. Takes time and patience.ED1F2134-69AA-46BC-84F2-5F38CAA15467.jpegAF9FEC4B-6246-4D4F-893D-BCEBF5794E52.jpeg2542C70C-08FA-494B-9737-3DB6F1E91D26.jpeg
