1987 Gulfsteam 232 doing some upgrades to lithiums , while installing POS and NEG buss bars on the transom I noticed a smell of vinegar checked the drill bit and it had sings of damp wood don’t know where water could be getting in from scuppers we’re done 8 yrs ago has a fresh water system with an underwater pickup that was professionally installed I’m thinking my freshwater pickup any thoughts are welcomed

If the transom is wet, then the transom has a leak, the hull bottom should be solid glass.
