Question for Grady White owners:
I am on the verge of purchasing a new motor for my 1994 22' Seafarer,
The Minimum recommendation for power *in 1993* was 200 HP.
I have received a report from 1993 that showed data on a 1993 22' Seafarer with a 93 johnson 200 HP 2 stroke motor.
The motor I am considering is a 200 HP Evirude E-tec High Output. This motor is said to have significantly more power than the old 2 strokes but is it adequate? The old motor was a 94 225 HP 2 stroke, the question is; does a brand new E-tec high output 200 equal the power of the old motor or not?
Any help I can get would be appeciated.
Thanks!

Questions for you: Considering the type of boating that you do, are you going to be happy/ comfortable with the "minimum recommended power"? What about if and when you try to sell it; how many potential buyers will be happy with the "minimum recommended power"?

Might want to re-check, what I'm seeing (Grady brochures) is 280 both years. I have a earlier Tournament 22 of similar weight, with a 225 Honda. It is NOT too much horsepower ...

Thanks for the replies/advice! I have decided to go with a 225 E-tec.
