When as the 272 Sailfish designated as a 282 ?? was there a difference in the hull ?? I assume that change also pushed the 28 Marlin to the Marlin300 ?????

Aside from the obvious cosmetic differences the main change was that the running surface of the hull was extended, but that was changed while it was still the 272. I don't know the year precisely, I think around '98 or so, but do some googling, that info is out there. They changed to the 282 name when the pulpit became standard equipment. My 282 is a 2002 model year. Most people are asking this as they intend to repower, is this your intention? Lot of info out there on the topic, most on this site in particular.
