I hear you on keeping the original color, nothing wrong with original grady colors. Much less work and easier to maintain too!

Got any further on the project? Got my new radar, autopilot and shore power installed today, so just about ready to get her wet for the first time this season.

    Seatalk NG and NMEA2000k network

Thanks Sea Shift, I did get some advice from some guys there. Got everything installed and connected up today and everything worked first time, so pretty stoked about that.

    Seatalk NG and NMEA2000k network

I'm very surprised nobody has dealt with this issue before.

    Seatalk NG and NMEA2000k network

Thanks. The RM manuals are not too helpful when it comes to connecting to NMEA network. There will definitely need to be a Seatalk backbone as well as the Autopilot consists of the processor, EV sensor and input/display unit all of which run on Seatalk network through the spurs that you...

    Seatalk NG and NMEA2000k network

Nobody have any ideas? Also looks like I may have made some confusion in my question, what it meant was does only one network have terminators on the ends or do both networks have the terminators?

Older Grady's with new paint jobs.

Here's mine, an '87 with a darker blue, called Sapphire from Interlux.

I used 2 AWG for the batteries. Mine are right near the back of the compartment and my switches are in the rear just below the gunwale, so I think the longest length I have is about 6 foot. My new radar and autopilot arrived today, so going to be a busy Easter weekend working on the boat.

    Seatalk NG and NMEA2000k network

I recently purchased a Raymarine autopilot that runs on Seatalk NG network and I need to connect this to my existing Navnet NMEA2000k network which has my GPS/Heading sensor and Lowrance equipment. I have ordered the adapter cable which should arrive soon, my question is where to place the...

Also not too worried with ventilation, there wasnt really much ventilation in the standard battery location anyway. I already have a deck hatch that was used for refilling the oil tanks, so that can be used for basic access and will likely then have to pull the deck panel once or so a year for...

Got the batteries relocated to the under deck area and got charger mounted in, had to shuffle around the fresh water tank, but all ended up fitting nice and snug. Should give you at least a couple of ideas for your battery/electrics idea.

Sump/electrics idea sounds interesting, would like to see some pictures as it comes together. That may be something I would like to do as well (but probably at the end of the season, I want to really make sure the re-fitting of batteries, etc to sump area works for me. Keep the updates coming.

ocean runner 200 stalls at idle - experience?

Also check your cylinder compression - I had a '95 OCean Pro 150 exhibiting the same symptoms, ran fine at virtually anything above idle, but cut-out on idle, turned out I had a cylinder with low compression.

I have the larger 90-100gallon tank in the front compartment and a second 40gallon tank in the second compartment. Also in second compartment is 10gallon fresh water. It used to also house my 2-stroke oil tanks as well but I have moved those to the splashwell and plan on relocating some...
