Sanitation hose is not completely pervious to smell. It can often absorb it and need to be replaced. There are also holding tank vent filter which allieviate the smell. There is the big orange filter and one made by Sealand I blelieve. Good luck.

I agree with the previous two posts. My tanks are not only grounded through the sending units but also through earth ground to a grounding plate. There is then a 6 or 8 awg wire connecting the battery to the grounding plate. This is how NMEA wants it done according to their book.

One great think i found to get water out is drill a small hole and put a Q-tip into the hole. The cotton draws out the water and it drips out the other end. Then after a few days, or when it is dry, fill it with epoxy as said above.
