Don't have the original shore power, but I did it similar to newer models.
I located the receptacle on the face of the starboard bridge rigging box such that the cord faces the rear, and located the AC panel with 3 load positions and main breaker panel, on the blank adjacent to the locked door in the cabin to get to the motor instruments.
Having the receptacle mid ship makes for stern-in as well as bow- in slips. And it's protected from weather and out of the way.
You can take the rigging box apart, makes it a lot easier to work with.
Caulk it well at the base especially, where water sits, it's made of plywood.
The wiring pass is easy from the rigging tube to the panel, then I passed the load wiring back down the rigging tube into the cabin and spread out from there including I cable that runs to teh stern for teh battery charger.
I also have a galvanic isolator in the circuit, that sits under the bridge console screwed into the cabin bulkhead.
