I know that 2 engines cost more initially and more for double service but can 2 use the same fuel as 1?

possibly.
check the performance numbers on the GW site for the boat you are looking at. they are pretty close to real world.

in addition, twins give added close quarter maneuvering capability and some redundancy, but maybe twice the maintenance. always a trade-off. ron

The performance numbers of my twin F150s is spot on with the numbers on the Web Site, perhaps a tad better

I would base my decision on which Model Grady you were talking about, do you know that yet?
