I just traded a 208 for a 225 and with kids and occassionally my mother in law it can be problematic boarding the boat in my my boathouse with the lift lowered. I don't have a hard top so there is nothing much to grab.

I have seen aluminum poles you can stick in rodholders and steps etc. Any ideas for good boarding accessories? Thanks

Look like the safe way to board when you do not have hardtop to grab onto. Check out this web site http://www.birdsallmarine.com/ They have one described as:

Come Aboard
A simple but effective design makes boarding your boats safe and easy. The “Come aboard” is made of anodized aluminum and has a soft handle for a positive safe grip. The “Come aboard “ receives into most gunnel rod holders. Measures 48” overall length.
