I have a small spot similar to that on the headliner of my 2007 330 and wonder what is is as well. I bought the boat used and assumed it may have been from a water leak that was fixed. Cabin is tight and dry now and the spot is small and contained just under the rope lighting area.

Hey Bill, I don't mean to get off topic (because I really would like to know) but what kind of performance numbers do you get with the 250's?

I know it's the adhesive they used to glue in the headliner, but I'm not sure what the proper way to get rid of it is. I've seen mention of using a solvent, but not sure which. I was searching for the same thing when I saw your post. Our 2005 is doing something similar at a few different seams.

I have a 330 2006 with 250s. We cruise offshore at 27-28 (4500 rpms) burning anywhere from 26-28 GPH. David

I always work with NM/GAL and at 43-4400 the best I can get is 1.0, maybe on a good day with a tailwind 1.1 At 4300 RPM I typically get 19 - 21 Knots and burn 22-23 GALS/HR. The only way to extend the range is to slow way down, off plane. The performance bulletins that are available from GW are pretty accurate it seems, but to make it appear more efficient they use statute miles. That's for cars, not boats. I plan 1.0 and after extended trips it works out to about that.

I have a 2005 330 and I have the same discoloration in some of the same locations. Can't figure out why.

With respect to performance, I get similar numbers. A few weeks ago, I submitted a question on the GW website related to performance numbers and the proper propping. To my surprise a tech rep called me to confirm I had the correct size props. He also said my performance numbers were within normal range. I can get to 1.2 MPG on a nice day, but it is usually 1.1 MPG. Trimming both engines up to 3 bars makes a huge difference.

You might want to ask GW why we get that discoloration. I thought it was just my boat until you posted. Good luck.

I had the same looking spot inside my cabin. I was cleaning one day with some mildew revover and sprayed the spot. It went away.
