Went to the boat and noticed the transom has been unusually dirty. Wiped the area found the dirt to be a bit of motor oil, not much but enough to raise concerns. Checked the oil level and it's pretty much were I originally topped it off. It is definitely the drive shaft seal of the port motor only. Questions are, has anyone had this issue with F225's or other yamaha outboards, can it wait till end of season with a watchful eye and roughly what should this cost? I spoke to a mechanic and was told the power head must be removed to replace these seals. Any advice?
