I have a 1992 Marlin. It has a pair of primer pumps to bring fuel up to the engines. Can anyone direct me as to who made them and where to find replacements?

Fuel primers

If you have re-powered or will soon with newer fuel injected motors you will no longer need them. I re-powered my 97 Marlin with four strokes in 02 and the primers are still working but I don't use them. The motors pull the fuel. I have never once used them since the re-power.

Take em' off, throw em' in the trash!

I replaced mine with two primer balls, hell of a lot cheaper, I only need to prime them

if its been sitting a long time too.

Ditto on trashing them. Put in a pair of primer balls, it helps in diagnosing other problems too.

OMC used to sell them years ago, about $250 per pump setup, came with remote switch and cable harness.

Then OMC only sold replacement parts.

Don't bother with them - they are not needed.

I have the bulb - but never squeeze it. Just turn the key and go.

wrong!!!!!

when you drain the VST tanks (every lay up over 6 weeks) you need to re-prime the system, unless you want to buy the $900 fuel pump!!!

OMC made the best primer bulbs out there
