I am not sold on smart tabs. I would go for regular tabs, Lenco or Bennett.
Either can be trimmed as needed to get the best results.

If you want to do it right, go with Bennete trim tabs.

Standard 9 x 12 tabs would be fine for your boat - http://www.bennetttrimtabs.com/catalog.php?vID=203

Their Sport tabs would be fine also, (M80 or M120). The M80 has a smaller "foot print" than the standard 9 x 12 tabs, (8 inch's wide) which is nice when you have limited space on the transom, yet it still gives the same performance, (if not more) as standard 9 x 12 tabs. They're also a little easier to install, because the tubing connection to the actuator is done from outside of the boat.

M80 and M120 - http://www.bennetttrimtabs.com/catalog.php?vID=78

If you search around on the net, you should be able to find them for around $450.

Here's the standard 9 x 12 for $427, (use the drop box to see price)... includes the Euro rocker switch, (preferred). - http://www.starmarinedepot.com/Bennett+Trim+Tabs.html

M80 for $419. - http://www.starmarinedepot.com/Bennett+ ... +Tabs.html

M120 for $442. - http://www.starmarinedepot.com/Bennett+ ... +Tabs.html

Smart tabs are waist of money, go with Lenco or Bennet, you can't go wrong. I think your boat is a little stern heavy with the I/O, so i would go with the 9X12's.

I put the Smart tabs on my 87' 204c last year.

Although it did help the performance (reduced porposing, smoother ride) some, next boat I get I will put Bennets or Lencos for better adjustability.

We put Bennett 9x12's on our 208. Best upgrade we ever did.

just to say the lencos are fast up and down with no over run and when you shut the power off they go up,i went with 9x12s,and i got the digital switch so you know where they are(real cool) the boat rides smoother, flatter on turns iwish i asked sooner thanks to every one MIKE
