I'm in the market for a handheld GPS. Looking for some input. I fish/boat mainly in Ches. Bay/NE NC area and I want to start heading off shore to Ches. Lite Tower and other wrecks. Looking to spend between $150-300. Main features I'm interested in are preloaded coastline maps/markers/warnings, route maker( to and from etc). I've been looking at Garmin X-Trek. Thanks in advance!

Hey Rick, do you have an Android phone, and a way to power it when on the boat? If you only need it for infrequent use, you should see what the Navionics USA East looks like on my HTC Evo, and the cost was under $15.

Concur with the Garmin 78 recommendation for a handheld. I have one in the ditchbag.

Don't have an Android, as cell phones go I have state of the art 2003 Tech! ie a Razor! LOL!
I acutally went ahead and bought a Garmin 78. I looked at 76 but went with the 78.
Appricate all the input and help!
