One rod end blew out of the tie rod and it's a very wierd size: M14X1.5. threads with a 3/8 bearing hole. Has anyone seen a M14X1.5 female rod end?

Tie rod between the moters? Why dont you cross drill it and install a stainless cotter pin to hold it together or a clevis pin that would work also

Unless there is a decent amount of slop the clevis pin will bid if one motor is trimmed differently than the other. I'm going to cut off 2" from each side and weld in 1/2x20 ss rod on both ends and use a standard rod end. The easiest part is making a 1/2 to 3/8 bushing so the same bolts can be used to mount to the motors.

Nobody was found in this country that makes M14x1.5 SS rod ends. A place in Germany had them but the cost would have been more than a left had tap, die and material.
