What is the minimum distance in front of the live well scoop that the transducer should be placed?

Hey green, if you are forward of the scoop and using a fairing block turbulence will not be an issue for the ducer. I would keep it as close as possible with about 1/2" gap between fairing block (unless you have a flush mount ducer then you need a lot more distance) and scoop cover. This way you can apply a sealant to the entire perimeter when install is complete and you can still replace the scoop if necessary. If you have a flush mount ducer you've got to call the manufacturer or you're just gambling. Good luck I just went through a similar procedure. -Jack

It is a flush mount ducer.

Jim at BOE said 8" should be ok. (about what I have for room)

I do have an email into Furuno to see what they recommend.

Would like to hear how close people have done the install and what their results were.
