One of my trim tabs busted off and I eight have to find a new one or make it. Mine are 18 x 11. Is that the correct size? Should I go bigger?

That is about the correct size. Do you feel that they trimmed the boat through a good range of speed, sea conditions and weight distribution? If so there is no reason to go larger. If not you could go with a 24 x 12, but you will have to relocate the actuator (ram) on the transom so that it remains in the middle of the Trim Tab.

Do you know what brand Trim Tabs you have.

Also it's pretty unusual for a Trim Tab to "bust off", is the boat kept / used in salt water? If so do the the Trim Tabs have zinc anodes on them? Often the heads of the screws holding the hinge plate to the transom will break off due to damage from electrolysis if the Tabs are not protected by zincs.
