I agree.. once you get the old one out- may as well put a new one in. I had a new one fabricated and put it in my self. The new tank was around $500 and with supplies probably around $650. There's plenty of posts here on the topic.. and folks that have done it.

this recently happened to me.... there's supposed to be a screw on the right-side bracket when looking from behind the boat, look at the bracket from the side... you can loosen the screw and manually raise/trim the motor, and loosen/lock the engine in place via some mechanism.. that I never got...
