Wash clean, install drain plug and fill with your favorite adult soda. Does a great job of keeping beverages cold.

    Engine Failure - 2005 Yamaha F250

If I'm not mistaken, an isurance claim would be for striking an object and causing damage. Like wrecking a car. my .02 worth.

    seafarer sitting low in water

Welcome to the site. The scuppers on my Gulfstream are underwater but drain just fine because the floor is high enough to get rid the water. Also keep in mind that Gradys are a heavy boat and appear to set low in the water. Here's an idea, move the bottom paint line higher and it will look like...

    Yamaha Oil Tank Float Switch.

I hear ya Bobp. No way to simulate the vibrations and such sitting static. I've got a test procedure to try with my ohm meter and then it's off to my local Grady dealer who has one in stock with my name on it. Thanks for the interest. Tight Lines. Brooks

    YAMAHA OX66 225 Propeller Question

Yes Sir, I believe you are correct. I ran a 250 on a similar boat and the prop was a 17. WOT was 5500. Give it a try. PS, you'll enjoy the hole shot.

    Yamaha Oil Tank Float Switch.

Thanks seasick. The alarm works at the bottom & the pump runs then cuts off at the top. I just can't make it fail everytime. Thanks again. More to follow.

2 stroke to 4 stroke conversion.

Neil, If I may offer a suggestion. Go to your local auto parts store and purchase an inexpensive electric fuel pump. Mount the pump on a board with hose on either end and powered by an auto battery, you can drain your tank. Remove the sending unit and you can get the suction hose to the lowest...

    new grady owner

Good Luck with the project. I'm not aware of any other manufacturer that provides the customer support that GW does. I helped friends with older Grady's and the factory has given engineering drawings to assist with whatever phase of the project we were at. You gotta love a Grady!!!

    Yamaha Oil Tank Float Switch.

Thanks seasick. The motors are 1993 150's mechanically & cosmetically in VGC. Compression readings are at nearly new specs. I'm thinking about swapping the float switches from port to starboard and see if the problem moves. The trouble is it won't do it every time. I've pulled the float out...

    Outboard Bracket??

Yes it is possible. The FD I work for purchased an open transom boat and we added a bracket and capped above it. Looked like it belonged.

    Gulfstream too wide to trailer?

As stated in this thread, drive like you got some sense and it should not be an issue. I've hauled boats back & forth from SC to The Keys since the mid 80's without incident. Don't draw attention to yourself by haulin azz and such. You should be good to go. I mean think about. If everyone with a...

    Yamaha Oil Tank Float Switch.

I'm having an intermittent issue with the float switch in the engine mounted oil tank. On 3 occasions the switch has not cut off the transfer pump causing the tank to overfill and dump the excess oil into the airbox (like it's suppose to) thus causing a reduction in power, high oil consumption...
