We upgraded this year from a 2000 w/250 OX66 2 stroke to an '05 w/twin 150s. BIG difference, mainly at the dock like others have said. I definitely think having twins is worth it in every situation - getting on plane, docking, top end, etc. That boat with a single just does not want to back...

Last year we test drove a new '09 with an F350 on it and didn't notice any problem w/the scuppers or the weight of the engine. Maybe the newer models have a bracket/transom designed to carry the 800+ lbs. Engine performed great, really got her up on plane effortlessly and top speed was over 50...

I wish Grady still made this model! Would love to see the improvements they would have made over the last 5 years (if any)

Crazy is right.....I can't wait for a full test on a pair of these on a 30' Grady. Sure hope they're as good as they're supposed to be.

We use a rubber mat hanging over the side attached to the cleat. Sure it's messy but these boats are made to be cleaned easy. Keeping the baby crabs out of the drains is the most difficult part :lol: If the fish aren't biting or it's too windy to go offshore, it gives you an excuse to still...

We were thinking of doing this to our 2000. Keep in mind the labor costs are a bit high because they have to cut the deck of the boat and cut the gas tank to make a second pick-up for the 2nd engine. The cost difference between buying newer and repowering led us to buying a newer grady.

Trimming up could increase RPM but not by so much that it would eliminate concern.....I'll bet the compressions are low. Be very cautious...

She looks great, congrats! What power does she have? Have you taken her out yet?
