need a little help... anyone know if the new yamaha 300 hp 4.2 v6 motor...have enough power to push my boat dry weaght is 4125 pounds....i had a pair of 175 johnson ... i dont go far out....... and i dont want twins again i want to go with a single yamaha or suzuki 300 hp my boat is...

anyone tell me if the 300 hp suzuki outboard motor is a good motor for this boat..i only travel about 30 miles a hour..and i dont travel far for the dock .... 30 to 45 minute thanks for the information .....had a pair of 175 hp johson ....dont want to go back to twin

255sailfish 1983 first time user .......had T-175 johnson 1995 ..my question is... want to go to a single 300 hp yamaha outboard v6.4.2 ....will this motor have the power to push this boat .....boat weaght 4175 without motors....... thanks .p.s. never go faster than 30.miles a hr around 3700...
