    Maneuverability w/Outboard on Bracket

Trim engine up a bit. That will direct the waterflow under the hull. If you don't your directing most of the flow of water smack into the hull. Takes a little playing with it but you'll get it with some practice.

    Electrical grimlin - please help

Swap Battery leads and see if the issue remains on Battery 1. You could have a dead\shorted cell in that battery. It will measure the 12.x volts but the battery will not be able to supply a load\current draw. How old are they? I have a few older one that wont start my boats but will run my...

    Chili Powder

Funny, I heard the same thing from a US GOVT boating safety instructor in SW Florida, tried it and it did not seem to make a difference. To avoid them, use the boat and or give it a good scrub regularly

    Handling passing boats wakes

Know that inlet and channel well. Although I hate to say this and it might suck, the area needs traffic control traffic on WEEKENDS. Between navigating boats, wakes and the idiots who feel it is their right to fish the channels, it is the pits. They need to slow it down and clear it out on...

Kicker Motor--Peace of mind or a hassle?

More of a Hassle. I have a 25 Longshaft that I put on and take off the boat depending on the season. I only use it for trolling for Stripers. It is mounted on a Garelick Bracket and even up all the way, it is still in the water. If tilted, it will eventually tilt down (wish it could lock in...

    fuel sender length?

Fuel tank sender BobP s correct, get the wema about 1/2 inch less that your tank is deep. My only dislike was the cork gasket, I would have preferred some type of rubber.

    fuel sender length?

fule tank sender Remove it and measure the tank depth, Wema has them in stock, you'll have it next day if you pay the shipping. I called Grady and specifically asked what WEMA units to get. They told me both tanks were the same depth so I ordered 2 the same 14 1/2 inch units, turns out...

    Fuel Tank Removal

Great Tip bhemi When I left the boat on Tuesday, I had the old sending unit out and the hoses all disconnected. Stuck my nose in the tank this morning only to a faint smell of gas thanks to mother nature between the sun and wind. I felt much better about the drilling. Dont have a dremel...
