DO NOT be afraid of the ox66 motor, you cant kill them. they run forever and are bullet proof.. At least mine was, never gave me a problem. flawless motor !!

welcome, when u change out ur water pump make sure u change ur poppet valve and both thermastats

thank u everyone. I was thinking spun hub also, but when i heard that i could have damaged my lower unit, well that made me very concerned. could u tell me the signs of a damaged lower unit ,also if i sucked alittle sand and mud up from being grounded could that be something to be concerned...

WOW, unbelievable, I guess you guys are right !! I did shoot some 2 stroke oil in the cylinders today as seasick mentioned. compression was the same on the bottom 2 cylinders 90 to 95. I would have never guess that in a million years.I diff would love to know the reason !!
