The boat will be on the dock with a lift so no worries about trailering. But I have seen comments about the 275 having a rolling feeling while under way. Most likely a sea trial will put all of my concerns to bed. I definitely think the 285 would be the best fit for what we need.

I was able to get them down by trimming all the way up putting the tilt lock down, (motor stayed all the way trimmed up) then I trimmed down and the pistons went in. I did this a few times and eventually when I removed the tilt lock then the motor went down. I think there probably is a deeper...

One piston starts when the locks are activated (motor trimmed all the way up) both pistons go down but when the motor goes down one of pistons won’t go down.

My Yamaha 200 will trim up but the second it hits the 2 trim pistons it won’t go down anymore. Any tips?

I like the 225 because of the increased size which many questioned about the 215. Also, it could last 2 or 3 years before we may want to upgrade to a 255 for something bigger.
