Thanks Dennis, I’ll try that tomorrow. I tried a couple of different small mechanics picks and a small thin knife to no avail. Hopefully the fishing line does the trick.

Btw - boat is a 1998 model with a swim platform and an aluminum Armstrong bracket for the outboard.

I know this is an older thread, bot hopefully someone else is dealing with their bilge pump on a 228G? I have the livewell lid off, along with the perimeter screws. I cannot get this thing to budge?!? I am planning on replacing a bad rule bilge pump and switch, as well as the livewell pump...
