So, now what do I do?

We're going to keep the hull and trailer for the 1,500 (pretty much a no brainer). I've made a few calls looking for a dealer with old stock looking to make a deal, have a couple of leads. The insurance company is Boat US, they have been great to deal with. Thanks for the feedback.

So, now what do I do?

A while back I posted that I blew my engine on my 1987 24 Offshore with 2003 225 Suzuki outboard . First off, thanks to those of you who suggested I contact my insurance company. They sent an adjuster out and they will be paying the claim. It would have never occurred to me that it could be...

    Blown Motor

I got bad news on Monday. Over Labor Day weekend, we heard a loud bang from the motor that split the corner of the cowling and started an engine fire. The boat is a 1987 Offshore 24' the motor a 2003 Suzuki 225. We extinguished the fire ( I cleaned my shorts too) and were able to limp to the...

    Removing nasty carpet lining

Ugh, looks like mine was "repaired" by someone concerned it was coming loose. It will not be coming off easy, so it will not be coming off this season. Mine has unfinished gel coat underneath. I'll add it to the list of off-season projects.

    Removing nasty carpet lining

Did you replace the carpet with something else or just leave it as gel coat?

    Inspecting fuel tanks

Hey folks, We pulled our new (to us this year) 1987 24 Offshore for some maintenance. The boat had sat for two years with fuel in the tanks. On recommendation of our mechanic, we topped the tanks off, added fuel treatment and injector cleaner, replaced the Racor filter and have been running...

    Removing nasty carpet lining

I've got my 1987 24 Offshore out of the water for some maintenance. We pulled all of the teak trim off and are cleaning and oiling it. The two cubbies in the cockpit have a nasty outdoor carpeting that we'd like to remove and replace with something else. The glue holding it in seems quite...

    Survey cost, moisture readings, etc

We used a surveyor earlier this year, certified, etc, cost around $650 including compression tests & sea trial.

    Hard top market

I'd potentially be interested in it as well. I have a 24' Offshore and we've talked about looking for a hard top. I have a truck and am willing to travel if it becomes available.

Fuel tank locations on 240 87 Offshore

I recently acquired an 87 24 Offshore with twin tanks. Looking at the schematics in the owners manual I see different locations for the main and the auxiliary tank... which is in the front? Tried searching, can't seem to find it. Thanks much, loving the Grady

    Newbie to the forum

I'm a newbie to this forum as well as to Grady White ownership. I just purchased a 1987 24 Offshore with a 2003 225 on a bracket. She needs some TLC but came through the survey with no structural issues. We've owned a 22' Sisu lobster boat for a number of years and before that an 18' center...
