    windows removing

Thanks. I will try it. About the conversion to fixed windows, How did you did it? did you kept the frames? The front ones I have doubt I would do it since it would be lots of glassing involved, but it's a good idea. Thanks very much

    windows removing

I want to replace the "headliner" and side upholstery of my 1998 Islander. To make a good finish the windows must be removed (I guess, since the carpet goes under the trim) and also it's time to replace the sliding channels> Does anybody has done it? If so, how it's done? Photos or videos would...

    Can I use a F350hp on my Islander ?

Thanks guys: Yes money is short. The F350 I'm looking for is a 2008/9 model. I would prefer twins, but the labor to install would be costly, I know many concerns w/ E-tecs due to no more available, but in my opinion, they are very good motors and would work fine. I had a chance to get twin 150s...

    Can I use a F350hp on my Islander ?

My 1998 Islander says it can go 400 hp., mine has (now) an Yamaha F250, I feel it is underpowered, but had the idea of getting twin HPDIs or E-tecs (200 hp each) due to weight concerns. The other day a friend asked me:" Why not use an 350hp instead of 2 200's? I would be missing only 50hp and...

    manual to electric

My Islander (1998) has a head w/ Jabsco pump (it's in bad shape), so, instead of buying a kit to fix it I'm In doubt of getting a new pump (Seaflow or Jabsco)or installing an electric pump. I have seen some 12- and 24-volt pumps for a not too bad price, My question is: Have any of you done that...

    Not enough power?

I understand that nothing (except taxes and death) is guaranteed and yes, for some issues they both may have a problem. but, Issues that can cause both engines to stop working can also happen w/ a single engine, the idea is for the "other reasons." that can make an engine stop by itself. The...

    Not enough power?

Thanks, You was able to understand the reasons for it. Yes , it's new to me I bought it not too long ago from out of State and had it Professionally Surveyed before signing the check and everything was OK ( I still have the multi-pages report). I never had those many people before and (to be...

    Not enough power?

Yes, I have seen that photo and that's what i said " an OX motor". You are "half correct" I could use a 350 ( Not good reviews on the 350 Yamaha), or Suzuki or Mercury, but you missed a very important point (to myself): The security of 2 motors to go out (like going to Bahamas). I rather have 2...
