Thanks Dennis. I've opted to having my canvas shop put a off-white strip across the damaged section. Your idea sounded good, but I wonder how the thread would hold up to the sun. Thanks again.

Our 1996 Sailfish 272 has 2 vinyl cockpit comings- each is mostly Grady off white, with a small section at the forward end of Grady blue with the words, Grady-White printed? stenciled? I'm not sure how it is affixed. The blue is faded and cracked and I'd like to it as original/new. I'm sure my...
