Looking at a 28 footer. What year did they make these and what kind of engine/s are in it? Anyone have experience with one? How much fuel does it hold?

Thanks guys. Yes, splash board sounds right. I'm going to look around home depot or somewhere for a piece of the aluminum. I have the bent piece that was on the boat before but because the splash board was not oem I don't think the aluminum piece the previous owner installed was either.

I'm replacing the panel across the transom end of the cockpit that the dog house rests against (don't know what they call it) and the aluminum molding that the dog house rest on is bent (doesn't look factory). I'm wondering what the factory version looks like and/or if I should put something...

I own a 1983 Kingfisher 25'5 with twin Mercruiser 470's. Twin inboards on a grady are a headturner at the Marina....

Was wondering if any of you early 80's Grady owners have replaced the white fuzzy monkey fur and blue carpeting with anything from this century. Just fixed a few leaks in the cabin and would like to rip at least the white stuff out and replace. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the post bob but I'm lookinig for the drains that are in the cockpit floor, not the thru-hull scuppers. I'll check their catalog to see if they sell the stainless drains as well. bill

I just removed the 2 cockpit drains from my 1983 Kingfisher 25' (twin inboards). The chrome is worn off/turning green. I have the engines out now so thought I would either 1) have them re-chromed or 2) replace with stainless. Does anyboyd know where to get stainless steel replacements? if...
